Ilam is located in the west of Iran and on the map, you will find it right next to the border of Iraq. A journey from Tehran to Ilam Province takes more than eight hours by car. The mountainous heights around Kabir Kuh, home to great hunting birds presents utterly mesmerizing rock formations in the shape of sky-scraping cliffs overlooking deadly precipices. Add the rolling fields of Darreh Shahr Valley to the mountains and it instantly becomes the most spectacular location for off-road adventure. We will take you to a walk through the rocky corridors of Razianeh Canyon that almost feels like treading on another planet. Choice of hotels in Ilam is fairly limited. There are no fancy hotels in the city but there are many mid-range hotels and traditional guesthouses which provide more than adequate service.
